Terms of use
Last updated: 14 August 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Kamm Creative Solutions LLC, which makes and operates Multipass. By installing the software, creating an account, or buying remote access, you agree to them.
What these terms cover
Multipass is four things: the server software you install on your own computer, the apps you install on your own devices, this website, and the online services that connect them (accounts, remote access, artwork lookup, and software updates). These terms cover all four. Our privacy policy covers what data we handle and our refund policy covers cancellation and refunds. Both are part of this agreement.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms on your behalf. An account is for one person. Do not share your password.
The software and your licence
Multipass is proprietary software. We license it to you, we do not sell it to you, and we keep all rights in it. Subject to these terms, you may install and use the server software and the apps on hardware you own or control, for personal and household use, for as long as this agreement is in force.
You may not resell, rent, or sublicense the software, remove or alter its notices, work around the licence limits described below, or reverse engineer it except to the extent that law expressly allows regardless of this agreement.
Your media is yours, and it is your responsibility
Multipass does not host, provide, distribute, or index any media content, and it ships with no curated content sources. Everything it plays is media you already have, on hardware you control, plus live TV from sources you configure yourself. You are responsible for the media you add, for the sources you point it at, and for having the right to use both. Do not use Multipass to distribute material you do not have the right to distribute.
Your library, your watch history, and your files stay on your own server. We do not inspect them, and we could not hand them over even if asked, because we never have them.
Accounts and other people
Using your server on your own network requires no account at all. An account is needed only for remote access, for sharing with people outside your household, and for downloads. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has them.
If you invite other people to your server, whether as members or as Movie Night guests, you are responsible for who you invite and for what you make available to them. You can remove anyone's access at any time from your server settings, and the tools to mute, remove, and rotate a guest code are there for exactly that.
What is free and what is paid
Everything on your own network is free, permanently. Playing your library at home, every app on every platform, all of your libraries, all of your users, and unlimited local playback cost nothing and always will. There are no in-app purchases in any Multipass app on any platform.
The only paid product is remote access: reaching your server from outside your home. It is bought on this website, never through an app store, and it covers your whole account.
What paid remote access includes
- $4.99 per month, or $149.99 once for lifetime access.
- 3 servers you own, covered by one licence.
- 5 remote streams at once, counted across all of your covered servers together. Whoever is watching, it is the server owner's licence that is used.
- Local playback is never counted and never capped, no matter how many people are watching on your own network.
- A 30-day free trial. You add a card when you start it and you are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, it converts to the $4.99 monthly plan automatically.
The lifetime guarantee
A lifetime purchase covers all future versions and every feature promised at the time you bought it. We will not move a feature you already paid for behind a new charge, and we will not take one away. If we ever cannot keep running a specific online service, we will say so honestly and in advance rather than quietly degrading it.
Billing, tax, and who sells to you
Checkout is handled by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe is the seller on the transaction and on your receipt, and Stripe calculates, collects, and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT. We never see or store your card details. Kamm Creative Solutions LLC remains responsible for the software, your account, and support.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do yourself at any time from your billing page. Cancellation, refunds, and what happens when access ends are set out in the refund policy. Prices can change for future purchases and renewals, with notice by email first; a change never applies to a lifetime purchase already made.
Apps from the App Store and Google Play
The apps are free to download and contain no purchases. An app obtained from Apple's App Store is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and where that agreement conflicts with these terms about the app itself, Apple's agreement governs. Apple is not responsible for the apps and has no obligation to provide support for them. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Multipass to store, stream, or share material you have no right to;
- operate a public streaming service with it, or resell access to your server;
- work around the licence limits, the account system, or the metering;
- attack, overload, probe, or interfere with our online services or anyone else's server;
- harass other people through Movie Night chat or voice.
Availability of the online services
The account, remote access, artwork, and update services run on our infrastructure and are provided as they are, without an uptime guarantee. We will do maintenance, and occasionally something will break. When our services are unreachable, your server keeps working normally on your own network, which is the point of the design.
Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop using Multipass at any time, and cancel or delete your account as described in the refund and privacy policies. We may suspend or end remote access for non-payment, or suspend an account that is breaking the acceptable use rules above, and where the situation allows it we will contact you first.
If this agreement ends for any reason, your server, your library, your watch history, your profiles, and your settings are untouched, and everything on your own network keeps working. Only remote access stops. We do not delete your media, ever; it was never ours to delete.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material we will email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Multipass after that means you accept the new terms. A change never reduces what a lifetime purchase already bought.
Disclaimer
Multipass is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software or the services will be uninterrupted or error free. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kamm Creative Solutions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising out of your use of Multipass. Our total liability for any claim relating to this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep every right your local law gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that reaches a court belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in New York, and both you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, none of this deprives you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, or of the right to bring a claim where your local law says you may.
